Seaforth - Holiday Accommodation Cape Town
The gorgeous secluded beach of Seaforth is located just around the corner from the famed penguin colony at Boulders beach. It's a short, ten minute walk from the last train station in Simon's Town but its location away from the main shopping areas ensures that it is never crowded. A Seaforth holiday is packed with loads of fun activities that accommodation seems to be the last factor on one's mind.
Activities
The beach is sheltered from rough waves by a rock-shelf that encircles the pristine little bay. If you feel like a bit of snorkeling you can easily swim out beyond the rocks and explore the surreal world of the drifting kelp forests.
The sand of the beach is pale gold and fine, making a soft comfy bed for sunbathing or an ideal medium for anyone, young or old, who fancies trying their hand at castle building!
Granite boulders on the beach have been worn smooth by the sea and by time until they slope gently into the lapping waves; a perfect sunbathing spot for those of us who don't fancy getting sand in our ears, hair, nose and everywhere else! Boulders Beach is hidden and much more secluded than Seaforth and holiday accommodations are always booked out for months in advance.
Gourmet with a view!
The restaurant which overlooks the beach is built on the original site of the British naval Tea Room and boasts exquisite views out over the bay and truly fabulous cocktails, best enjoyed while watching the sun sink into the hills above Fish Hoek, across the bay.
Get away from it all
The beach at Seaforth is never too crowded. Even on the weekends, the crowds tend to congregate closer to the railway line. Holiday accommodation is scattered in this little sea-side town. Apart from guest houses, cottages and B & B's there are also Backpackers' Lodges as an option for you to rest your head.
With fabulous views, food and crystal clear waters; Seaforth is a little paradise in the sun.
